Recent Spok Mobile Reviews
There are several things that make this app difficult to use. 1- This app is not very compatible with Android phones. During business hours, if there is a page for an emergency, all iPhones will get the page first. My phone is usually 1-3 minutes delayed. (with my old and my new phone). 2- Recently, while on call my pages were 17 minutes and 25 minutes delayed. This is a huge issue as I have a 30 minutes return to work policy. 3-put on silent while not on-call, it will ring as a notification.
Crashes frequently. Have to reinstall at least once every 6 months
Broken. Keeps updating settings and this seems to interrupt any action you take, including trying to view a page or use the settings menu. It is faster for me to go to a computer and go through multiple login screens over institutional remote access and smartweb to view my inbox to see the page there. Will be returning to a physical pager
Someone needs to fix the swipe to delete feature. It’s finicky and requires me to swipe from one edge of the screen to the other edge twice to delete one message. Also, the app crashes freqi with each new message displayed.
It works, or rather did, until today. It seems to be frozen from server side of things. Not sure really.
Can’t change status to not on call!
App freezes up on my android
Keeps running through all of my battery life. App crashes constantly. Pages cut off half way through, sometimes will not notify me of the page causing delays in care
Won’t sound unless I open app
I suggest that you use an alpha/numeric pager. If your hospital IT Admin require SPOK MOBILE, so that they can “track” and keep Electronic Records of your hospital related business, I suggest that you request that they provide you with a hospital issued smartphone, that you ONLY USE, for hospital related information, that they may need to keep accurate records. If you are using your own PERSONAL SMARTPHONE, you are opening yourself to the IT having access to all your personal info on your phone
