Terrible app post and pre app design. Since they have updated the app, I will not talk about the older one. But this new “redesin” app release has also been a horrible experience. The app does not want to communicate with the unit. I have tried removing and reinstalling the water heater numerous times and cannot get the water heater to communicate with the app. If you have not purchased your Navien water heater yet, do not buy one if you want an app to control settings. This is not the right one
Stable and always connects. Useful to check on running temperatures. Not very well thought out app though. For instance, when the boiler stops and you get an error, the app gives you the error code. But then you have to do an internet search outside the app to get the definition of the error code. It also doesn’t show water pressure, which would be valuable from a maintenance perspective.
Great when it works but I’ve been waiting to hear from Tech Support for over a week now about an issue I’m having. The Navien guys here in the States are unable to help.– Update: the newer version of the app has decided to start working! However, it is very buggy and randomly stops working. I’ll have to settle with that I guess seeing as I haven’t had app access for months.
Garbage “upgrade”. Now that it requires you to use an email address, I cannot get the device to link to my phone or my wifi. I’ve done all the troubleshooting to no avail. This app is terrible
The navilink app is broken after the recent update. My family members are no longer able to connect. As the owner, I also not able to re-add them as members.

Terrible. I was forced to update the app, then forced to create a new user account, then required to verify an email that never arrived. How Micky Mouse.
2023 update. App is vastly improved. You can now see what you’re doing when scheduling the navicirc. Still far behind rinnai, but I’m glad to see some movement on this app. Barely usable. This app is confusing and seems to be designed to obfuscate any useful functions. The only benefit the application adds is the ability to schedule when the recirculation pump runs, but even that is confusing and counterintuitive. Note that it hasn’t received a single update since 2020.
