User friendly and so insightful
just a great tool especially for a beginner
I am loving Natural Cycles! I have been using it for prevention after being on birth control for 5+ years. I have learned so much about my body in the last few months of using NC with all the tips the app contains and I love that I can predict and feel more comfortable in the changes that I know are going to occur. The more you log the more confident you can be in the results you get and the more you can really rely on the app. Do it! You won’t regret it.
I was on the combined pill for five years when I started getting horrendous migraines in my pill free weeks. I wanted a more natural contraceptive method that didn’t negatively impact my health, and decided to try Natural Cycles. It’s been over a month of logging my basal temperature, and the app has correctly predicted both when my first ovulation and the start of my period would be. It knows my body better than I do, and I’m looking forward to using the app to learn more about my body myself!
I switched to measuring with the OURA ring. Now my body temperature is measuring so low (34.80°c) the app automatically excludes the data about 50% of the time so I’m not getting accurate data and not picking up ovulation data. It’s highly frustrating and I wish the algorithm didn’t automatically exclude data. Given the choice I wouldn’t. At least I could then pinpoint ovulation. The OURA ring measures 1-2 degrees less than the thermometer. Not sure why.
I used the app and thermometer initially as birth control. I’d been on the pill and was worried it was starting to have an effect on my mood. I was a little skeptical at first but it worked really well (well I didn’t get pregnant!). When me and my husband decided we would like to try for a baby, I changed the settings where it tells you which days you are most fertile. We got pregnant by the 2nd month! Really interesting to learn about how it all works. Will use again when we try for our 2nd
