Recent Kinomap: Ride Run Row Indoor Reviews
The app has worked well for me about 90% of the time (a couple of crashes and sync issues). I only use it for rowing and love the scenery in the videos. I cast my phone to my TV and that seems to work well. The leaderboards offer a little extra motivation; however, some of the times on the leaderboards are unrealistic unless you are superman, lol.
I cannot connect my treadmill via bluetooth through the app although compatible. The front facing camera setting drops out when running so will not track my progress.
Crashes with challenges with many participants. Looses connection with spinbike (virtufit etappe 2.0i) minutes before the end of a ride and doesn’t recover. Buffering issues. iOS seems much more stable. Don’t dare to take year subscription.
Very easy to use and plenty of training videos to use
Service going from bad to worse. Stopped recording the rides on matter how many times I reinstall the app. Rides freeze constantly on SD mode. Internet connection very good but think Kinomap server at fault
Disappointing. I was expecting more after seeing the info that came with my Bluefin tour 5.0 home trainer. The app occasionally crashed, and easily loses the Bluetooth connection. Then I was much more impressed by the BKOOL app, works a lot better and is really great if you are in to racing with other users online.
This is a truly useful app that definitely keeps me pedaling on my stationary bike way longer then I would be otherwise. Not perfect yet (some connection glitches show up occasionally; having to change from HD video quality to a lesser one to be able to continue absolutely ruins your experience, etc.), but when it works – I love it! And it seems that the developers keep improving the app all the time, so, maybe one day….
Very sluggish for the first day navigating screens. The in ride experience was ok. Then, the second day, the app refuses to open giving an “Unable to start API message.” Two days later Kinomap is working as expected. Apparently a large DDS attack had made their service not responding.
When the app finally connects to the machine. The only Machine it has ever connected to its a great tool… the 5 minutes it takes to connect to the machine makes me want to just stay fat. I do t know what they need to fix but it shouldn’t take that long. My car connects to my phone faster. And it was built 12 year ago.
