One question. Who decides what’s marked “left”, “right”, etc? Also, it’s very american centric

Unable to set this as default browser in my Samsung phone. Nit sure if that’s a Samsung or Freespoke issue. Example: when I cluck a link from a trusted email, I don’t get asked to open using this browser, only Chrome. Otherwise, I love that it gives topics not seen on traditional news and it gives left/middle/right views and articles so one can get a broad idea of the topic interested in.

So., I like the idea of moving away from Google, to a more trustable search utility, but I’m looking for browsers to test, and freespoke seems to only be an app that performs a search beneath it’s surface. Beneath being that which the one who initiated the search doesn’t see, or control like a browser. And if that’s the case, what search engine are you using to locate results? If the results arrive from Google, then what’s the point? Hope this makes sense.

Needs a dark mode and app on desktop PCs.

I like that it tells you which way the articles lean politically, whether right, left, or center. You can also search and find results for things you won’t find on your biased search engines like Google.

Great app

Uninstalled it for now. As others have stated the search engine isn’t much different than Google. For me the decision was because I’m used to dark mode and I need a home widget. With Google pre-installed it made no sense for me to keep this app. There is a lot of room for improvement and I would be more inclined to switch once these features are added as I hate Google and their policies.

Decent interface, but resets too easily. Insane amounts of tracking!
