Nice app, but it hasn’t been updated in over a year. I won’t pay for or use an abandoned app.

Requires monthly subscription for widgets with content provided elsewhere. A ripoff. Worth no more than a nominal one time fee.

I swapped from Feedly to Plenary after years of Feedly slowly going downhill and it’s a MUCH better experience. My only issue is that some feeds don’t work properly (including some of the suggested feeds like Pitchfork and some other fairly mainstream sources like ClickHole), but the overall user experience is absolutely head-and-shoulders above any of the other readers I’ve tried. Happily buying a lifetime license after using the free version for about a week.

It attempts to be exactly what an RSS should be–a compendium of your chosen RSS feeds with a (mostly) easy add option and filtered folders based on the type of content. At first, the folders were a little slow populating but eventually loaded. I finally deleted the app after I couldn’t get my smallest folders to load. Good luck and keep trying, plenary devs. Maybe I’ll try it again after a couple of updates.

All the other RSS readers are either expensive, bad designed or abandoned. This is the only one you’ll need! Edit: seems like this one is also going to be abandoned…

I used Aggregator before because it behaved like i think an RSS reader should. However, development stopped on it and it’s pretty basic. I tested most of what i could find on Google Play but they weren’t good enough. Then I tried Plenary. It’s simple and it works very well from installation. There are many options to change behaviour to suit your needs. Plenary gets everything right in my opinion and blows the competition out of the water. Thank you Plenary
