Cyclist Reporting of Incidents App Overview and Details
The Cyclist Reporting of Incidents Tool (CRIT) provides cyclists with a simple and quick way of reporting the crashes and near miss incidents that they experience whilst cycling, including important information regarding the incidents themselves (e.g. time and location, incident description) and the contributory factors involved.
With users all over Australia, this information is analysed and used to identify trends in incidents and incident causation and inform the development of strategies designed to enhance cyclist safety. CRIT also presents a summary of the incidents reported to its users, allowing cyclists to understand the hazards that they face when cycling as well as trends in crash and near miss causation.
CRIT is funded through the Road Safety innovation Fund, a scheme by the Australian Government which supports road safety research and the development of new, innovative road safety technologies and products. CRIT was developed by the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast in collaboration with Bizsoft Consulting.

Recent Cyclist Reporting of Incidents Reviews
App is a great idea if it results in improved safety for cyclists. Can’t get past contributing factors. Should not be a minimum number if that is the hiccough.
Same as other review… cannot advance past the factors page… and there is no Save and Continue option, so the report I typed out (pecked out on the tiny phone keyboard) on the previous page is going to be lost if I quit the app… I want to help, but making it hard is not an incentive to do so… I like the idea of this app, and hope it becomes mainstream so all governments get to see the extent and reasons for cyclists being injured, but it needs to be easier to use. I am happy to continue, but just can’t get past the page that won’t let me advance…
I can’t submit an incident. The app page for factors affecting the incident won’t advance – the Next icon doesn’t do anything
